After 75 years, Bay Meadows hosts last regular season races (AP)

A piece of horse racing history headed into its final stretch on Sunday, the last day of the regular thoroughbred season at Bay Meadows. The fabled track where Seabiscuit ran to glory seven decades ago and Russell Baze became the sport's winningest jockey in 2006 is scheduled to close in September, when bulldozers will move in to make way for condominiums, offices and stores.

Million Dollar Run wins Railbird Stakes at Hollywood Park (AP)

Million Dollar Run won her first career race in the $100,000 Railbird Stakes on Sunday at Hollywood Park. Making just her second career start, Million Dollar Run and jockey Joel Rosario were second in the field of eight 3-year-old fillies for most of the 7-furlong stakes. She took the lead coming out of the turn and beat Tasha's Miracle by 2 lengths in 1:20.66.

Banrock wins Belmont's Kingston Handicap (AP)

Casino Drive, who was shipped from Japan to New York for the race, with jockey Kent J. Desormeaux, crosses the finish line to win the 55th running of The Peter Pan horse race at Belmont Park in New York, Saturday, May 10, 2008.

Banrock nipped Dave by a head Sunday to win the $113,700 Kingston Handicap for New York breds at Belmont Park. Dave emerged with the lead turning for home on the yielding turf course but could not hold off Banrock's relentless rally. The 5-year-old gelding trained by Tom Bush and ridden by Kent Desormeaux earned his fifth win in 18 starts.

Indian Chant takes Churchill feature (AP)

Indian Chant rolled to a five-length victory over Success Success in the $60,000 six-furlong feature race for 3-year-olds and up Sunday at Churchill Downs. Indian Chant, with Jamie Theriot up, covered the distance over a sloppy track in 1:10.13 and paid $4, $3, and $2.10. Success Success, piloted by Calvin Borel, held on for second and paid $6.20 and $2.80.

Blueridge Western used a strong stretch run to win the $215,000 Berry's Creek final at the Meadowlands on Saturday night, beating Bullville Powerful by a head. Driven by Brian Sears, Blueridge Western covered a mile in 1:50.1 and won for the eighth time in 16 career starts. He returned $10.20, $4.40 and $3.60.

Good Night Shirt wins Iroquois Steeplechase (AP)

Good Night Shirt took the lead a few yards from the start and held it for three miles over 18 hurdles to win the $150,000 Grade I Iroquois Steeplechase at Percy Warner Park on Saturday. The win for last year's steeplechaser of the year was his second win in Grade I races this season and vaulted him into the lead to repeat as champion.

Ravalo took the early lead and fought off two challengers in the deep stretch to win the $70,000 Decathlon Stakes at Monmouth Park on Saturday. The 4-year-old gelding covered the six furlongs over a muddy track in 1 minute, 8.2 seconds and paid $5.60, $2.80 and $2.60. Recapturetheglory is ill, could miss Preakness (AP)

Recapturetheglory might skip the Preakness after developing a fever. The colt finished fifth in the Kentucky Derby. Assistant trainer Lara Van Deren said the colt became feverish Friday night and his temperature spiked at 102 degrees Saturday morning. The horse was given medication as a precaution and will have blood work done.

Owner: Test results on filly Eight Belles 2 weeks away (AP)

It will be at least two weeks before additional information is known about what caused Eight Belles to break down in the Kentucky Derby, the filly's owner said Friday. A lab at the University of Kentucky has begun to examine the body of the horse that was euthanized following her runner-up finish in the Derby.

Trained by Greg Sacco, Casino Transaction ran 6 furlongs over a sloppy track in 1:09. The 4-year-old daughter of Carson City paid $13.80, $6.80 and $4.20.

Jockey Mena wins 5 races at Churchill Downs (AP)

Jockey Miguel Mena won five races in one day, including the feature race at Churchill Downs. He rode Tiz Now Tiz Then to a 2-1/2 length win over Star Defender at Churchill Downs, the home of the Kentucky Derby.
