Celts try for first road win in playoffs (AP)
Kevin Garnett stutter-stepped as he reached a potential right turn down a seemingly endless hallway early Sunday morning. After losing Game 3, he and Boston teammate Paul Pierce were on their way to a media interview room proving difficult to find. "Where's it at?" Garnett growled. That's the Celtics, searching for directions on the NBA's playoff highway.

No death penalty sought in Taylor case (AP)

Prosecutors said Monday they will not seek the death penalty against four people charged with murdering Washington Redskins star Sean Taylor because the accused shooter was a minor when the crime was committed. The U.S. Supreme Court has ruled that people cannot be executed for crimes committed when they're under 18, and it's a well established legal principle that others involved in the same case...

Bad feelings linger for Red Wings, Stars (AP)
Really, it's hard to imagine that Chris Osgood is completely correct in his assessment. "Just a little altercation that's over with now," the Detroit goalie insisted Sunday, a day after the Red Wings' 2-1 victory over the Dallas Stars was marred by an ugly ending. But don't expect the fracas to be forgotten.

Pirates win season-high sixth straight (AP)

Maybe it's no coincidence the Pittsburgh Pirates developed some consistency when Freddy Sanchez and Zach Duke did. Sanchez's three-run double in the fifth inning put Pittsburgh ahead, leading Duke and the streaking Pirates past the Atlanta Braves 5-0 Monday in the first game of a doubleheader. Duke (2-2) shook off five walks and three errors behind him to limit Atlanta to five hits over six...

Wie won't take part in Sorenstam's event (AP)
Don't look for Michelle Wie at this year's Ginn Tribute hosted by Annika Sorenstam. Wie did not seek an exemption into the event she played a year ago, the tournament said. Last May, Wie, citing a wrist injury, withdrew after playing 16 holes of her opening round. Wie said she left because of her wrist and not because she was two-shots shy of the LPGA Tour's "88" rule.

Spurs cruise past Hornets to even series (AP)

Warming up before Game 4, Tim Duncan decided to have a little fun. He threw the ball behind his back and between his legs, then went up for the lay-in. Yep, it was going to be that easy. Duncan had his best game of the series against New Orleans -- 22 points, 15 rebounds, four blocks -- to lead the San Antonio Spurs to a 100-80 victory over the Hornets on Sunday.

The Utah Jazz had plenty of chances to crumble and nearly did. They let a 12-point slip away in the last four minutes and faced overtime against league MVP Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers. Garcia ends Tour drought, wins Players (AP)

Sergio Garcia summed up his day, his week, maybe even his career, with one small gesture Sunday. Garcia lagged a 45-foot putt from the fringe to 3 feet for par on the famed 17th at TPC Sawgrass, then kissed his putter. The stick that tormented him so many times before, including earlier in the week and most notably at last year's British Open, became his trusted ally in the final round at The...
