The first basketball game between the top two picks of the 2008 NBA Draft didn't go well for the Bulls. In the opener of the Orlando summer league, No. 2 pick Michael Beasley lit up the Bulls for 28 points as his Miami Heat squad rolled to an easy 94-70 victory.

Top pick Derrick Rose finished with 10 points, four assists and five turnovers. He was better in the second half when the Bulls concentrated on trying to push the ball up court and let Rose try to drive toward the basket.

"We didn't win," Rose said, "so I think I played horrible."

Of course, it's only summer league and will mean nothing by the time the regular season begins. In fact, Beasley came out the next day and hit just 1 of 13 shots against New Jersey.

Bulls pick Rose pleads guilty to speeding charge (AP)

The Chicago Bulls No. 1 draft choice Derrick Rose pleaded guilty Monday to driving more than 40 mph over the speed limit on an Illinois highway back in April. Kane County Associate Judge Robert J. Morrow ordered Rose to pay a $1,000 fine and attend traffic school, according to the county's state's attorney's office.

Bulls G Curry suspended for arrest (AP)

Chicago's JamesOn Curry was suspended for one game by the NBA on Thursday after the Bulls guard pleaded guilty to two misdemeanors in Idaho. Curry was arrested in January and pleaded guilty to resisting arrest and urinating in public. A second-round draft pick in 2007, Curry spent most of his season in the Developmental League.

It was the third of five games the Bulls and five other teams are playing over five days in Orlando.
