The Milwaukee Bucks have signed guard Tyronn Lue and forward Malik Allen, giving new coach Scott Skiles two more veterans to work with. The team did not reveal terms of either contract. The 31-year-old Lue played for Atlanta and Dallas last season, averaging 5.8 points and 1.5 assists in 50 games. The 6-foot guard was drafted out of Nebraska with the 23rd pick in the 1998 draft.

Not long after making their fans happy by acquiring one of the Eastern Conference's most consistent players in recent years, Richard Jefferson, for two guys who disappointed last season, the Bucks set out to make one of their players happy.

The club announced July 11 it had signed former No. 1 pick Andrew Bogut to a five-year contract extension worth a guaranteed $60 million.

The Australian has been a rock for the Bucks in his first three seasons, missing just 20 of a possible 246 games. He already was guaranteed $6.9 million for the 2008-09 season, but the Bucks took advantage of a summertime negotiating window to lock him up through 2014.

"He's an up-and-coming young center, difficult to find," assessed Bucks coach Scott Skiles.
