Defensive tackle Kyle Williams signed a three-year contract extension with the Buffalo Bills on Thursday potentially worth $14.4 million. NFL commissioner Roger Goodell dismissed fears the Buffalo Bills will relocate to Toronto, adding he believes the franchise's future is more secure with the additional revenue it generates from playing an annual game north of the border. Bills running back Marshawn Lynch had his driver's license revoked in traffic court on Friday after saying he didn't know he hit someone while driving on a Buffalo street last month. Administrative Law Judge Thomas Gagola found Lynch's behavior on May 31 "constituted a reckless disregard of human life or property." He also imposed the maximum $100 fine and $50 surcharge after Lynch pleaded guilty...

Coroner: ex-Bills lineman died of thick heart muscle (AP)

A coroner says former Buffalo Bills lineman Mitch Frerotte died of a thickening of the heart muscle, a condition that can cause sudden death. The coroner said Friday that Frerotte's family has a history of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. The American Heart Association calls it the most common cause of sudden death in young athletes.

Rauch, former Raiders Super Bowl II coach, dies at 80 (AP)

John Rauch, the former Georgia quarterback who coached the Oakland Raiders to a berth in the second Super Bowl, died Tuesday at his home in Oldsmar, Fla. He was 80. Rauch's wife, Jane, said Rauch died in his sleep, possibly due to a heart problem. Rauch was 33-8-1 in three season as the Raiders coach from 1966-68.

Tom Catlin, a longtime NFL assistant coach and a two-way star in the 1950s at the University of Oklahoma, has died. He was 76.
